Christmas Day

And finally, Christmas Day.

We spent Christmas Day at Grandma Gia's (Kollin's Mom) home. We had a lot of fun here too! We open presents, had breakfast (again), played with toys and Makinlee, watched a Christmas Winnie the Pooh video, ate a yummy dinner, and did lots of other fun things. I didn't get many pictures this time either, but here are a couple of cute ones.

A hat fetish? All of us in new hats!

Christmas Morning

We spent Christmas morning at home, before going over to Grandma Gia's house.

When Kourtney woke up, we opened presents, read the Christmas story from Luke in the Bible, played with her presents and ate breakfast.

Playing with her stacking cups/shape sorter

She really liked the stacking cups

Mega Blocks and a Sit n' Spin, what more could you ask for?

This was too cute. After we read the Christmas story from Luke, Kourtney took the Bible from us, and walked to her new chair. We sat her in the chair and she "read" the Bible for a while. So glad our daughter likes books!! She's definetly our daughter ;)

Christmas Eve at Grandma Sue's

To continue with our 4 day weekend...

We spent our Christmas Eve at Grandma Sue's house. We had a fun time with everyone who could come.  We played on a new climbing gym, ate lots of yummy food, and did lots of other fun things. We didn't take many pictures, but here are a couple.

Just hanging out...upside down!

So pretty in her Christmas Sunday dress (she did have a bow, but she pulled it out right away...as usual)

Play time before bed...

We had a very full but fun 4 day weekend.

The weekend before Christmas we were able to join Kollin's family in Cedar City. The whole gang was there (4 parents, 6 kids & 3 spouses, and 5 grandkids) to make a FULL house. Besides a tired Kourtney (from not napping well), we had a blast!
Thanks for letting us come visit, Aunt Karynn!

Just a bit of play time

After Kollin and I returned from our anniversary getaway on Saturday afternoon, we took Mom and Kourtney to McDonald's, so Kourtney could play and get out of the house. (Its been so cold, with so much snow still on the ground, its hard to go outside to play, so we go to restaurants and stores to window shop and play. It provides a good, cheap way to get out of the house! ) She loved McDonald's toddler slide, and went down it several times.
Then, after McDonald's, and Kourtney's afternoon nap, we went to Toys R Us. Kourtney found a lot of things she liked to play with there... a scooter, a tricycle, the electric cars (she sat in one for a while, and even got mad at Dad when he tried to take her out too soon, ha), balls, and a bunch of other things. Kourtney, Grandma Sue, Mommy and Daddy had a fun afternoon together.

Ready to slide!

Trying out the scooter.

Daddy looks scary in this picture, but they were having fun! :)

Pushing the scooter on her own.

3 Years!

No, this post isn't about Kourtney, but I think it's got value to our family life! :)

Today is Kollin and my 3rd wedding anniversary. Its hard to believe that its already been that long, but it really has been the best 3 years of our lives.

For our anniversary, Kollin TOTALLY surprised me with a weekend away. Okay, well, I knew that we were going away for a night, but I had NO idea what we were doing. He told me we were going to a Motel 6. Ha, ha Kollin. Very funny, NOT!

On Friday afternoon, my Grandma Sue came up to babysit. Kollin and I left to go to dinner, and he surprised me by taking me to Tiburon, in Sandy. I told him I wanted to go somewhere new, and that it didn't need to be fancy. He did good. It was a delicious restaurant. He had Bison and I had Elk. A new experience for both of us.

Then we went home, and spent time with Kourtney until she was ready for bed and put her to bed for the night. Then we left again, this time for the rest of the night.

One half hour later, we pulled up to the Anniversary Inn on Fifth South. Kollin had reserved the Swiss Family Robinson room, and arranged for rose petals to be scattered on the floor. It was such a fun room, and romantic at the same time. Kollin did good! (So much for Motel 6, eh? *smile*)

The next day, we returned around 12 Noon. Mom was nice enough to stick around longer, and we went and saw a movie on Saturday night, "I Am Legend". Kollin wanted to see it because he had read the book. No, its not a romantic film, but after our dinner and stay at the Anniversary Inn, I had no problem going to see it. :)

It was a great weekend, and a great 3rd anniversary. Bravo Kollin! You did well! :)

Mom took a few pictures before we left to dinner...

Yes, I am pregnant! See my belly? Its right there! :)

Little Dancer

I wish I had a video of this, but I didn't get the camera in time.

Kourtney and I love to dance to music. And now, she is braving it on her own.
Last night when Daddy was playing the guitar, and this morning during some music, Kourtney decided to dance on her own for a bit. She would turn herself around, walk sideways in a circle, and just kinda move her body while walking around the living room. It was so cute. Last night she was so tired that she kept stumbling backwards and sometimes falling while she was dancing, but it was cute anyway.

Maybe we've got a future dancer in our family!

My Silly Family

She started eating the peel off of this orange. When I finally peeled it for her, she just started chewing and sucking the juice out.

Bubbles are fun!

Bath Time Fun

Kourtney LOVES her bath time.
Today she stayed in the bath for about 40 minutes, just playing the whole time! Wow! For some of the bath I let the water trickle into the tub. After a while of playing with the trickling water, she started leaning over and drinking it...right out of the faucet! She is so silly!
I took some pictures, and don't worry, I tried to keep them modest. :)
I love our Kourtney baby!

SMILE!

You are so silly!

Look at ALL that hair!

A Quick Look Back

I was thinking about how much Kourtney has changed in this last year....

Only 4 days old, born September 30th, 2006 (6 pounds)...

One year old, September 30th, 2007 (20 pounds)...

Kourtney and Kyden

Yesterday we went down to visit Grandma Sue, Aunt Kelli and cousin Kyden, and watched the 1st Presidency Christmas Devotional on KBYU. Kyden is growing so fast. He is getting so big and can do more and more every time we see him! I love that he and Kourtney can play together.

Kourtney's 2nd Thanksgiving, 2007!

This last Thanksgiving was Kourtney's second Thanksgiving ever. We spent the day at Grandma Sue's house and had Thanksgiving with some of my family. We didn't get many pictures, but Aunt Kelli got some good ones of Kourtney and of Kourtney and Kyden playing.
