If you chance to meet a frown, do not let it stay...

...quickly turn it (around) and smile that frown away!

The big one is the ghost I was so excited about. It didn't turn out as great as the others, but they're all still so FUN! *smile*

I'm gonna be leaving these on my windowsill on Halloween night for sure!

Kourtney and Mommy's FUN 'jack-o-lantern' project! Turned out pretty cute, eh??

First Snow of the Season!

It wasn't much, but we were out there right away to play in it. The girls love it!

Kourtney & I have been working on something...

...exciting for Halloween! Check it out!

Yeah I used a trash bag for a painting bib. Cut three holes in it, slipped it on, tied it in the back and it worked great!

I LOVE the way she tilts her head to say "cheese"!

After the added faces

After Mommy added the clear coat finish

Kourtney's little Jack-o-lanterns and Mommy's big ones. The ghost is my favorite of mine. I love Kourtney's yellow and purple one. It has become a double sided one with a smiley face and a grim face ("If you chance to meet a frown, Do not let it stay. Quickly turn it upside down
and smile that frown away.").

Kourtney, Thanks for painting with Mommy and doing such a fun project with me. I love you!

After the clear coat has had the 24 hours it recommends to sit and dry, I will put the tea lights in them and see how they turned out. I'm SO excited to see the FINISHED project. I'll be sure to post the pictures! *smile*
(And no I can't take credit for the project idea. I found it here, and copied it exactly, even the faces, because well, they're all so gosh darn cute!)

Pay It Forward Update

So, do you remember this post? I've made two out of three gifts now.

Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures of the first gift I made. It was a laptop case for Verna. It was a lot of fun and turned out really cute, I think so anyway. *smile*

This is the second one I've made. It was for my sister Kelli. She is a selfless person who is always concerned for other people. Last May when I asked her what she wanted for her birthday the only thing she would say was "love, peace and happiness". Uh.....okay? So I just made her a cute little wall hanging that said "Love, Peace, Happiness" This time around I made her something a little more. I used my awesome Cricut, cut out the stencil, and etched on the words to the votive holders that I found at Ikea (I love Ikea! *smile*). I think these turned out really cute and I was so excited to give these to her today. I hope that she'll be able to enjoy them!

"happiness...peace...love"

I should be doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen or vacuuming, but I'm being lazy. So, the girls and I decided to have fun with Photo Booth again.

Getting Ready for Halloween

While Daddy was at work, and the cold weather was keeping us inside, the girls and I decided to pull out the Halloween decorations from the attic and put them up. Not that we have much, but we still had fun! We listened to some fun music and danced while we put them up!
(I took the pictures with my phone camera so they're not the best quality.)

We put up the window vinyls! Kayla kept taking them down so Kourtney helped me put them up higher. Call me lazy, but I don't want to have to keep putting them back up all month. *wink*

We pulled out Mommy and Daddy's hats from last year!
