Helping Mommy Mop

We recently bought Kourtney a little mop. She loves it, and she likes being able to 'help' Mommy mop. It was too cute!

"Star!"

Kourtney is growing up so fast! She's learning, saying and doing so many things. Her newest? "Star!"
Last week we were at the store and Kourtney pointed at something. Then she called out "Star!" and signed it at the same time! Thats when I saw the star balloon she was pointing out. We had no idea that she knew that sign. We've been singing and signing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" lately, but didn't know that she actually knew how to sign star. It was so fun to see that she had learned it!
Its so fun to watch our girls learn and grow!

SAND!

Kollin built Kourtney a sandbox last weekend!

First step: Build the box

Step two: Fill the box with sand

Step three: Play in the sandbox!

Kourtney decided that throwing the sand out of the box would be the best thing to do at the time.

Thanks Kollin for building Kourtney a sandbox...she loves it!

More Sister Love

Have I told you that I have two precious girls that love each other? Well, this morning we were reassured in a great way.

Both girls woke up earlier than normal this morning. First Kourtney woke up and said good morning to sleeping Kayla, then got some milk and we sat on the couch together. A few minutes later, Kayla was calling out to be picked up. I went, picked her up and brought her back to the couch where Kourtney was so that I was sitting on the couch with Kayla on my lap, and Kourtney next to me.
Kourtney was busy pointing out Kayla's nose and eyes and Kayla was staring at Kourtney. Next thing I know, Kayla breaks out into a huge grin at Kourtney! Then they were both smiling at each other when Kayla started "talking" to Kourtney. Kayla had been "talking" to me yesterday but it was much neater to see her "talking" to Kourtney! It was so fun to watch our girls smile and talk to each other! Like I said in the earlier post, they really do love each other, and it is SO great to see how they express that love.

What Happens When Your Baby LIKES Tummy Time??

Kayla fell asleep during tummy time!
She doesn't normally like it...she'll handle a few minutes, more if I talk to her the whole time. But this time I left for a second to check on something and came back to find her sleeping like this!

2 of 2...

Here is the other one...

1 of 2...

Here 1 of the movies that go with the last post...

We LOVE Warm Weather!

There is so much more to do when the weather is warm and you can go outside!

Painting with water

You can paint anywhere you want

And the cold water can keep you cool if you sit in it, or drink it, like Kourtney did! *wink*

Playing on the good old slide

Kourtney learned how to climb it a few weeks ago and is always going up the side now instead of through the door.

Good Job Kourtney!!

Kourtney's first pool! Of course she had to test the water first...

...Daddy helped with that.

Playing outside with her cousins on the jungle gym at Grandma Sue's house!
She can climb up the ladders to the top all by herself! (with Mom close by of course)

Hurray for warm weather!

Some GREAT Pictures!

A couple weeks ago our friends David and Natalie Fenn came up to our home and took some great pictures of our family, and of Kayla at 6 weeks old. I wanted to post them all...but there were too many! Here are some of our favorites!

BreAn's Week!

My birthday always falls the week before Mother's day. Now that I am a Mother, I get to celebrate two things in one week!
This year I had TWO birthday parties (yes, I am that special *wink*), and on my actual birthday Kollin stayed home from work, took care of the girls and sent me to get a manicure and a pedicure. It was a good birthday and Mother's Day with some good quality time with family and friends.

The First Birthday Party...Sunday May 4th

My awesome birthday hat that Kollin made me.

Kyden was excited to party with us!

Kayla liked sitting with Grandma Sue

Kourtney practiced her driving skills

The Second Party...Saturday May 10th

The Kids wanted to see Aeryn's cool new toy

The Good looking Naylor family came too

Grandma Sue blew bubbles for everyone

Kollin taking a break from barbecuing and the sun...gotta protect that precious bald head!

Ainsley relaxed in a comfy chair

Thanks for two FUN parties everyone! It was great!
