Happy 5 Year Anniversary To Us...Tomorrow
“I feel good with my husband: I like his warmth and his being-there and his making jokes and stories and what he reads; how he shows his gladness for what I cook him and joy for when I make him something; how he is troubled when I am unhappy and wants to do anything so I can fight out my soul-battles and grow up with courage and a philosophical ease. I love his good smell and his body that fits with mine as if they were made in the same body-shop to do just that. I don’t need to look around for anything.” (Bits of a quote by Sylvia Plath)
I love you Babe! Happy 5 year anniversary (tomorrow)!!

Cute Moments
So my sister does this smart thing and puts funny and cute moments into her phone, then when she gets a second to blog, she'll have all the cute little stories at hand to help her remember. So, I hope you don't mind Kelli, that I'm gonna do that now too!
Here are a couple fun stories for now.
8/19/09
Kollin: "Kourtney, you want pancakes with bananas in them?"
Kourtney: "No. How about corn in them?"
Kollin: "You want corn in your pancakes?"
Kourtney: "Yeah, corn."
10/15/09
Riding in my sister, Krista's 15 passenger van, lovingly named the Big Red Bus, Kourtney kept announcing that she was, in fact, riding in the Big Red Bus. Kayla kept saying "Wheeeeeeeee! Wheeeeeeeee!"

Family Pictures
I was able to convince my sister-in-law, Maria to take pictures of Kourtney for her 3rd birthday. But Kourtney decided to be camera shy and wouldn't even look at the camera, and spent more time running away from the camera than letting us get pictures of her beautiful self. SO it turned into a family shoot, ha.

Trunk Or Treat
I forgot to post the pictures from our Ward Trunk Or Treat. We had a lot of fun that night. It started with a chili potluck then costume contests, then outside for the trunk or treat.
Getting ready

Kourtney's shirt says "Daddy's under my spell"

Grandma Sue joined us that night! Reading to the girls while Mommy and Daddy get everything else ready.

Kayla wasn't sure what was going on at first, but she quickly learned how to say "trick or treat" and what the results were when you said it.

Kourtney didn't want to stop!

Kourtney dug into the candy as soon as we got home, and started a new game. She told Mommy and Daddy to say "trick or treat" and when we did, she gave us some candy! Shes so cute! I'm glad she had fun.

Halloween 2009
We just knocked doors on a few streets in our neighborhood then headed home, but we had a lot of fun. Even KayKay went with us!

A couple housed turned their front porch or garage into a haunted house. They had a fog machine and all the works! They were fun but scared the girls a bit.

It was a fun, exciting night and the girls were tired at the end of it.

If you chance to meet a frown, do not let it stay...

...quickly turn it (around) and smile that frown away!

The big one is the ghost I was so excited about. It didn't turn out as great as the others, but they're all still so FUN! *smile*

I'm gonna be leaving these on my windowsill on Halloween night for sure!

Kourtney and Mommy's FUN 'jack-o-lantern' project! Turned out pretty cute, eh??

Kourtney & I have been working on something...
...exciting for Halloween! Check it out!

Yeah I used a trash bag for a painting bib. Cut three holes in it, slipped it on, tied it in the back and it worked great!

I LOVE the way she tilts her head to say "cheese"!
After the added faces
After Mommy added the clear coat finish
Kourtney's little Jack-o-lanterns and Mommy's big ones. The ghost is my favorite of mine. I love Kourtney's yellow and purple one. It has become a double sided one with a smiley face and a grim face ("If you chance to meet a frown, Do not let it stay. Quickly turn it upside down
and smile that frown away.").
Kourtney, Thanks for painting with Mommy and doing such a fun project with me. I love you!
After the clear coat has had the 24 hours it recommends to sit and dry, I will put the tea lights in them and see how they turned out. I'm SO excited to see the FINISHED project. I'll be sure to post the pictures! *smile*
(And no I can't take credit for the project idea. I found it here, and copied it exactly, even the faces, because well, they're all so gosh darn cute!)
